Ashley Ellerin would be a 22-year-old fashioned student, model and Ashton Kutcher's girlfriend when she was extremely stabbed to dying in her own Hollywood Hillsides home in 2001.
Around the evening of her murder, Kutcher stopped by to choose Ellerin up for any publish-Grammy Honours party, but she did not answer the doorway. The actor checked a back window and saw what he thought were dark wine stains around the carpet and left. A buddy discovered her body the following day.
Kutcher, who married actress Demi Moore in 2005, never was a suspect within the situation.
Inside a new rise in the unsolved murder, DNA evidence has linked Michael Thomas Gargiulo, a 32-year-old ac repairman being held on suspicion from the murder of the Santa Monica lady in April.
Police stated the DNA match also links Gargiulo towards the fatal stabbing of the Monterey Park lady in 2005 and also the 1993 killing of senior high school classmate Tricia Pacaccio within the Chicago suburb of Glenview, where Gargiulo resided at that time.
Gargiulo had been held instead of $1.a million bail on attempted murder and burglary charges stemming in the April 28 stabbing of the Santa Monica lady in her own home. Detectives matched up a DNA sample obtained from bloodstream in the crime scene to Gargiulo. Further database mix-referencing discovered that Gargiulio's DNA matched up genetic evidence within the three killings.
Kutcher's agent, Stephanie Simon, stated the actor didn't have comment.
