Roman Polanski arrested in Zurich for raping 13 year old girl


Famous director Roman Polanski was taken into custody of the children late Saturday evening in Zurich, Europe as a result of a 31-year-old U.S. arrest warrant against him.  The Polish-born movie maker had joined the nation to be able to pay a lifetime achievement award in the Zurich Film Festival later today.


The 76-year-old was arrested within the U . s . States in 1977, charged with raping a 13-year-old girl after giving her alcohol and medicines at the house of actor Jack Nicholson, where he was taking photos of her throughout a modeling session.
