Soleil Moon Frye, 32, began acting at two. The daughter of actor Virgil Frye, she got her acting breakthrough back in 1984 when she was cast as 8-year-old Penelope 'Punky' Brewster around the NBC weekly sitcom that survived two seasons.
The show had the kid residing in an abandoned Chicago apartment together with her dog. Punky Brewster's network run was short but demonstrated to become a large hit in rerun distribution. The initial cast seemed to be hired to complete voice-over for that animated cartoon through the same title that broadcast from 1985 to 1989.
Soleil, that is French for sun, got her unusual title in the musical Annie Get The Guns. She makes her living by ongoing to complete voice overs. Her vocals are featured through the character Zoey within the 2005 Proud Family Movie. She offers voice-over for that character Jade within the cartoon series Bratz.
Soleil is married to Jason Goldberg, a tv producer and actor. He and actor Ashton Kutcher run the development company Katalyst Films. Goldberg and Frye have two youthful children, a daughter Poet Sienna Rose along with a boy Jagger Frederick Blue. Once part of the Chapel of Scientology, Soleil has transformed into Judaism.
Frye is co-founding father of the small Seed, an eco conscious children's niche boutique in La. Her closest friend is actress Melissa Joan Hart, who performed the starring role on Sabrina, The Teenage Witch.
