Steve LeVeille Off the Air at WBZ-AM 1030 (Photos)

I are also a lengthy-time listener to WBZ Radio, and I have particularly loved and respected Steve LeVeille's story telling talents, his intelligent discussions of politics and Colonial related subjects and , occasionally, his sheer silliness (such as with his counseling everybody to stock on Fluff when snow storms are approaching!). Although I have not known as into his show, I too considered him a buddy, and loved listening to Diane, Max, and also the outings to Maine. I've got a snappy existence with a lot of beloved people (and your dog) inside it, however i always valued time hearing Steve, and the tales frequently helped me smile. WBZ hasn't contended using the many talk show hosts who promote their shows as "the WBZ family", and even a lot of us have started to believe that way about Steve and the many phone callers. WBZ clearly doesn't have respect for that talent or audience when the WBZ management cannot endure CBS Radio professionals and explain why local talk radio on WBZ may be the only talk radio which is effective here to complicate matters WBZ management didn't have the courage and decency to announce the lay offs ahead of time, and permit the talk show hosts to state farewell towards the audience. To underscore the cowardice from the WBZ management as well as their absolute capitulation to CBS professionals, there's been an entire news black-out about these firings on WBZ, as well as the small comments which Jordan Wealthy was permitted to utter were restricted: clearly Jordan was put into an uncomfortable situation that they attempted to deal with with sophistication. I took in towards the first hour from the new syndicated show, which is going to be my last hour of hearing WBZ Radio: it's WBUR constantly now! If there's some organized protest re: Steve's laid off at WBZ, I'll be there. Meanwhile If only Steve the very best, and hope they know this laid off had nothing related to his talent or merit. Hopefully Steve is going to be back on air soon, WBZ has lost another listener.
