Bettie Page 1923-2008


Bettie Page, a famous pin-up girl in the nineteen fifties, died inside a La hospital of pneumonia on Thursday, December 11, only one week after having suffered cardiac arrest.


Her repetition. Mark Roesler launched the next statement:  "She taken the imagination of the generation of males and ladies together with her free spirit and unabashed sensuality.  She was the embodiment of beauty, right available online for with Lana Turner."


The 85 years old former model acquired fame in 1955 when she was featured within the centerfold of Playboy magazine, among their early Play pals from the Month.   She grew to become noted for her fetish modeling and racy pin-up photos.


Page's signature jet black hair and trademark bangs have apparently affected many artist.  She created a significant popularity within the eighties that continues today.  Her the nineteen nineties autograph signing periods netted her $200-$300 each.  Several cult epic movies were launched in 2005 including Bettie Page: Pin-Up Full and Bettie Page: Bondage Full.


A personal funeral is planned for Tuesday.  She'll be hidden at Westwood Graveyard in L.A., only a couple of ft from Lana Turner.
