Jennifer Lyon 1972-2010
Survivor Palau cast member Jennifer Lyon, who made an appearance on the program from Feb to May 2005, died of cancer of the breast at her Or home on Tuesday, The month of january 19. She was 37.
The truth show star observed a thickening that did not appear normal in her own right breast in 2004. She lined up to scarring from her breast enlargements and didn't seek medical evaluation until filming of Survivor covered with December 2004.
Doctors determined that Jennifer had stage-three cancer. She elected for any modified mastectomy, together with chemo and also the drug tamoxifen to avoid a recurrence of the cells of cancer. She fought the condition for 5 years before her dying.
Fellow cast-mate Ian Rosenberger stated, "She's been the type of sophistication, and it has been so brave."
Lyon, who arrived 4th within the Survivor Palau competition, was the very first cast member to die. Crew member Alton Desiree died from drowning as the show was filming in South america.
