Neverland Ranch, the residence of Michael Jackson from 1988 until he moved in 2005 after being removed of accusations he sexually molested a youthful boy, is unarguably among the world's most well-known celebrity houses.

Jackson, who felt he skipped on childhood pleasures because of his father's demanding guidance throughout his early success using the Jackson 5, changed the 22-building, 2,500 acre estate into every kid's dream - having a zoo,  a cinema, Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, bumper cars, an excellent slide along with other theme park rides.

"It's like walking into Oz," he once stated.

Security was tight at Neverland Ranch.  The press was rarely permitted beyond the gates, and site visitors needed to sign discretion contracts and weren't permitted to create cameras.

After Jackson moved out, the once magical property grew to become progressively worn lower, with overgrown tennis courts, stagnant water within the zoo, and torn the canopy over rides.

In April 2009, Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills  sold off memorabilia from Neverland Ranch, which incorporated the wrought iron gate in the entrance. (View photos of auction products)

The ranch, situated at 5225 Figueroa Mountain Rd, Los Olivos, CA, in Santa Barbara County, once belonged to course entrepreneur William Bone.  The nearby area formerly comprised of working ranches.  Today, the region is mainly comprised of wineries.

In December of 2008, Michael Jackson leased a French Chateau style estate in Holmby Hillsides for $100,000 per month. (View photos here)  It had been out of this home the 911 call was placed your day of Michael Jackson's dying.

Just a little known truth is that Michael Jackson recorded 100 secret tunes - to be able to guarantee a legacy for his children after his dying.
